First year students’ opinons

of the Göteborg University Library:

User survey 2006

First year students experience lack of information control,

i.e. they are uncertain how to seek out and locate information.

Students appreciate the staff and the service offered.

Students like the library locations.

Cooperation with the Students’ union during

introduction week

Library introduction for all new students

Studio and special services for dyslectic and

visually impaired students

Book a librarian service to support

information seeking

Librarians’ involvement in courses and

programmes aiding student transition into

higher education
