Ten intensive campus weeks are held over 18 months, with studies and digital content in between. Electives at SSE campuses or at our partner schools in the Global Network for Advanced Management (GNAM).

We are proud to offer you an Executive MBA program in Stockholm, a city in motion filled with opportunities. Sweden is also the birthplace of global companies such as IKEA, Ericsson, Volvo, H&M, and more recently global giants such as Skype, Spotify, Mojang and King.

The SSE MBA prepares you for your next career move, while providing you the tools to build, lead and develop

“There were many times I would come back from a program week and be sharing learnings and different business models with my team right away. The Executive MBA has a really holistic learning approach. But what you don’t realize is all the life lessons and the journey you take alongside the learning process.”

Carissma Dennis Media Strategist, Volvo Cars, and Co-founder, Break Even, Sweden

The Stockholm School of Economics (SSE) is one of Europe’s leading business schools. We have been ranked as the No. 1 business school in

organizations in the global arena. Our MBA will help you grow, enabling you to take on a wider scope of responsi- bilities, sharpen your analytical abilities and increase your financial understanding. You will gain new skills and build a valuable international network of business leaders, to leverage for future opportunities and challenges.

Participants in the SSE MBA are ambitious and talented executives, who already have promising careers and full- time jobs, but still manage to dedicate time to studies. We strive for diversity in the class. A more diverse group of executives delivers varied perspectives, better learning – and excellent networks. Our classes represent a wide range of backgrounds, with experience from industries such as manufacturing, automotive, technology, life science, forestry, entertainment, telecom, retail and banking. Participants work in any size of company or the public sector, and some are entrepreneurs. With around 50 participants in each group, more than half will have a non-Swedish or multinational background, and most will have extensive international experience academically and/or professionally. The average age in the program is 39, and about 40 percent of participants are women.

The SSE MBA is designed with a flexible format on top of a General Management foundation. You will be able to personalize your journey with a number of elective courses given at SSE’s different campuses and at our partner schools in the Global Network for Advanced Management (GNAM).

Our MBALive® learning approach aims at delivering insight into the complexity and dynamics of organizations. Therefore, all participants pursue several projects in real organizations, using theoretical management concepts and frameworks acquired during the program.

We will also carry out two or three international field trips during the program. A fundamental part of this program is the value of various perspectives. Visiting different markets and applying theories and models in a variety of contexts is an essential part of learning.
