UPPSALA UNIVERSITY LIBRARY 400 YEARS
ANNIVERSARY EXHIBITION
Uppsala universitetsbibliotek tillgängliggör böcker, artiklar, bilder, kartor, handskrifter, arkiv och andra medier i fysisk och digital form. Biblioteket bidrar också till att sprida lärosätets forskning till omvärlden. Verksam- heten har en lång historia, och Uppsala universitetsbibliotek firar under åren 2020 och 2021 sitt 400-årsjubileum. I jubileumsutställningen skildras dels de stora och unika samlingarnas väg till biblioteket genom bland an- nat pliktleveranser och donationer, dels biblioteksmiljöns förändring, från fuktiga lokaler vid domkyrkan för 400 år sedan till dagens såväl fysiska som digitala miljöer.
Uppsala University Library makes available books, articles, pictures, maps, manuscripts, archives and other media in physical and digital formats. The library also contributes to disseminating the University’s research to a wid- er audience. The library has a long and illustrious history, and during 2020 and 2021, Uppsala University Library is celebrating its 400th anniversary.
The anniversary exhibition highlights how its large and unique collections found their way to the library through required legal deposit copies, dona- tions and other means, and how the library’s locations have changed over the past 400 years from damp facilities near Uppsala Cathedral to today’s physical and digital environments.
