What in this course was particularly good?

Comments:

- Real-world problems like warehouse and task optimization.

- OM, jag får tillgodoräkna mig 5 p till examen så var det lagom mycket jobb.

Men antagligen får jag tillgodoräkna bara 3 p eller ngt.

- Roligt med metoder som man kan använda om man behöver lösa ett mer komplicerat problem även privat.

- Great Koalog Library to experiment by self. Very interesting subject.

- Skulle kanske ingå ett moment om CLP(R).

- Jaw solver. (Svårläst.)

What is the most important (concrete) things that should change in the course?

Comments:

- Each topic must be put in an application context/usage context.

- Förklara teorin så att man förstår begreppen redan från början. Struliga def. Gör att det är svårt att läsa sig till det själv.

- Course book is not used very much.

- More lectures. More applied problems.

- Lecture style could be more varied and engaging. The tone/pacing is monotonous.

More examples should be used to illustrate difficult concepts.

Comments:

- Why not send an e-mail with summer courses to all students at the faculty of technology/UTH.

- Web pages could always be better.

- Great scheduling, excellent 9-12.

- Please respect the scheduling of other classes by chosing a non-standard time. You conflict with other classes needlessly.

Comments:

- No real-world applications. No real-world examples, except for a chess board. Even my mathematics books ca be more "applied" than this one!

- Läste för litet i den för att bilda mig en ordentlig uppfattning.

- Didn't buy it.

- Känns lite väl teoretisk (2), skulle kunna vara lättare att komma in i med vettiga exempel.

- I'm sure it's a great course book, but I didn't read it so much so far.

- Sometimes the book is too technical on definitions etc. Sometimes hard to read.

- Not terrible, but it is a bit dry and unengaging.

- Only readable after having been to the lectures.

- It's a reasonably well written book.

Comments:

- Generally good. More informative examples. 1. We want to…, 2. So we use constraint tech…, 3. Which is based on this mathematics.

- Too much obvious copy & paste from different material. The presented definitions could be explained in an easier way.

- Slides are wonderful!

- Väldigt bra att de finns, tar upp allt som behövs. Litet för mycket slarv dock! Behåll dem om den går igen, men rätta felen.

- Bra att vi fick slidesen utskrivna!!

- The slides were very professional and clear.

- Typos.

Comments (good and bad things about the assignments):

- Games are fun. However, to make the assign./course feel more important/inspiring, use (or explain) real-world tasks (warehouse, scheduling jobs etc…).

- Precis lagom!

- You should assign students to pairs if you want them done in teams, because some are shy and don't get partners.

- Games are fun. However, to make the project/course feel more important/inspiring, use (or explain) real-world tasks (warehouse, scheduling jobs etc…).

- Har inte gjort projektet ännu…

- Man lärde sig av den. Lagom svår.

Comments (What was especially good? What should be improved?) - (+) Relaxed attitude.(-) Improve your spoken english.

- He put in a good effort. Should improve the slides.

- Svårt att hitta något speciellt att anmärka på, framstod som något ovan föreläsare, annars trevlig.

- Det kändes som att han blev lite hindrad av engelska ibland. Annars bra!

- (+) Make lectures fun. (-) Improve handwriting or make really good slides (or explain carefully).

- Too uninterested in what he was talking about.

- Lite rörig och ostrukturerad, men med sinne för humor och brittisk accent som gjorde honom rolig att lyssna på.

- Lite virrig. Brist på bra exempel. Hoppade lite för mycket mellan tavlan och slides.

Comments (What was especially good? What should be improved?) - + Active and inspiring, seems to like the subject/topic.

- Too bad he didn't have the whole course.

- En föreläsning var kanske lite för lite för att bilda sig en helt korrekt uppfattning, men verkade väldigt bra både på att förklara och förstå och svara på frågor.

- He had problems explaining the "big M"-method, which is fundamental to IP. We only had him one single time, my impression was: Not well prepared.

- Verkade trevlig, men den föreläsningen han hade var lite virrig, kanske bara otur.

- Han kunde för litet om CT. Det blev svårt att jämföra mellan CT och IP, borde snarare ha fokuserat på skillnaderna eftersom vi kunde grundmodelleringen hyfsat.

- This lecture should have been much shorter. Did a lot of errors, and was uncertain of his results.
