Syftet med projektet:
1. Förändring av avvattningsegenskaperna på rötslammet efter olika processteg
2. Ytterligare utrötningsgrad av slammet i efterrötningsanläggningen
3. Viskositetsförändringar av slammet efter förtjockning och termofil rötning

Real-Time Estimation of
Ammonia Monooxygenase Enzymatic Activity with
Ammonium Ion Selective
Electrode
The goal is to estiamte the activity of the ammonia monooxygenase enzyme in real time by measuring the decrease of ammonium and increase of nitrate.
So far tests with sewage sludge have not been successful.
A preliminary test done with algae grown on wastewater showed promise so we are still experimenting with the method.
Protocol
1. Algae was filtered after growing in lake water/wastewater mixture and then washed on the filter with distilled water.
2. Filtered algae were re-suspended in 25 ml of tap water.
3. A pillow of ammonium ionic strength adjustment (ISA) liquid was added and the solution was placed on a magnetic stirrer.
4. Ammonium ISE was inserted in the solution and the baseline was read.
5. Readings were taken every 10 seconds for 15 minutes.
6. After 2-3 base level readings 1 ml of 100 mg/L Ammonium standard solution was added (Test 1).
7. After the first reading cycle the 100 mg/L Ammonium standard solution was added again and another 15 minutes of readings were done (Test 2).
