Controlling graphical animations in apps is usually done using a set of animation parameters. Setting the values for these parameters often requires a lot of trial and error in order to get the animation just right.
You change a value for a parameter, build your app to a device to see how it feels. Then you tweak it a bit more, build your app and… You get the point. This takes a lot of time and creates unnecessary overhead. Imagine if you could simply tweak these parameters while the application is running and see the results in real-time. A way for a programmer to work tightly with an interaction designer to quickly tweak a user interface to find the ultimate user experience. The goal for this thesis work is to examine the current state of the art in this area and to create a base for a lightweight, easy to use framework for accomplishing this on either Android or iOS.
