Democracy – a basic right!

All boardmembers are elected at the annual meeting, by members present at the meeting.

It is all members right to join all members meetings during the year.

We invite you to at least two meetings every year, be sure to check dates in our magazine “FACKlan” or the homep- age kommunal.se/sektion/skarholmen so you do not miss any meetings.

It is very important that YOU use your democratic right and participate! Warm welcome, really hope to see you there!

Take part in a member’s education!

See more at www.kommunal.se

Our local sections office is not manned by the same peo- ple always. We have a running schedule so different peo- ple work some days, and the working times vary. So, do not expect to always get service from same personnel.

We will at the best of our ability help with your questions regarding your membership, fees, your agreement, trade union education and other questions you may have.

We also answer some insurance questions, but as not to give you the wrong answer we see that you rather call FOLKSAM, who are experts on your insurance questions.

You can also book a personal information briefing with Murat, who is an insurance adviser at Folksam, which take place at our local office.

Sometimes you have a complex question for us, but we always come back with an answer even if it will take a bit longer time.

Theresa Andersson

We welcome you as a member to

Kommunal Stockholms Län, section Skärholmen.

We are a trade union who together strive for bet- ter conditions at the workplace, a safe work envi- ronment, fare wages, and the personal wellbeing of all union members.

Our members work with very different type of things ranging from preschool, eldercare, disa- bled care, big kitchen chef, churches, golf, farm- ing and agriculture, animal care, horse stables to chimney sweepers and a lot more.

We can help all members with wage negotiations, insurance questions, rehabilitation, and many questions regarding your work environment.

We gladly also help you with more general ques- tions on your membership fee for example, or other member benefits.

As a member you can attend several different trade union educations, where you can learn more about the union and the Swedish way of organizing the labour market. Kommunal pays for these educations.

Section Skärholmen organizes members who work with a private employer, for example golf, agriculture, land- scaping, animal care, horse stables, chimney sweepers and so on.

If you have a private employer, you should turn to our reg- ional team.

The team consists of regional union representatives (RFO in swedish) who represents the members in different union questions, and regional health and safety representatives (RSO in swedish) who represents the members in work envi- ronment questions.

Seeking contact?—see the homepage for information.

The regional team:

Anna-Carin Hill (RFO and teamleader) Peter Johansson (RFO)

Nick Rejimand (RFO) Camilla Verstraate (RFO) Kristina Yürekci Reszka(RFO)

Jan Johansson (RFO Svenska kyrkan/trossamfunden) Mats Lagerman (RFO Stockholms Stadshus AB) Annethe Axelsson (RSO)

Matts Jangerstad (RSO)

Selected negotiators to big employers.

Mikael Greek - Stockholm Vatten o Avfall AB Börje Eriksson - Aktiebolaget Stockholmshem

Anette Pettersson - Kyrkogårdsförvaltningen Sthlm Stad We have union reps/health and safety reps on some of the private sector workplaces, but regrettably far from all of them.

The section has decided on cooperation within the church business. That means that all the union reps/health and safety reps join all the meetings that the team responsible for kyrkogårdsförvaltningen organizes.

It is critical to the union activity that we have representa- tives on all workplaces, and therefor we always seek to increase the number of union representative/health and safety representatives.

This is the most important link between the workplace and the local union office.

Are you interested in becoming a union representative?

Call the local office and talk to us!

Section Skärholmen

Every negotiation team has an elected negotiator and a team leader. They are nominated by the union/

health and safety reps, and then interviewed and suggested to the board to decide on a monthly board meeting.

This democratic process is decided by the union cen- tral leadership.

The union/health and safety representatives are the base for all negotiation teams, and most important link between the workplace
