Denna standard utgörs av både den svenska och den eng- elska versionen av europastandarden EN 10 051:1991.
Vid tryckningen har de två versionerna lagts sida mot sida, men numrerats löpande, så att varje uppslag numrerats som en sida.

EN 10 051 är en revidering av euronormerna 51 och 112.

This standard consists of the Swedish and the English version of the European Standard EN 10 051:1991.
The two versions are printed with the pages side by side, but are numbered in consecutive order, so that each set of pages has only one page number.
The official French and German versions can also be bought through SIS.
EN 10 051 is a revision of EURONORMS 51 and 112.

This document was originally drawn up as a EURONORM under the European Coal and Steel Community. With the formation of ECISS and the establishment of the ECISS work programme, TC 12 was asked to prepare this document for eventual publication as a European Standard.

3 Definitions
For the purpose of this European Standard the following definitions apply:
non-alloy and alloy steels, see EN 10020;
wide strip and sheet/plate, see EN 10079.
4 Information to be supplied by the purchaser
4.1 General
The following information shall be supplied by the purchaser at the time of enquiry and order:
(a) description of the product (strip, sheet/plate);
(b) number of this European Standard (EN 10051);
(c) nominal thickness and width in mm;
(d) the letters GK if strip and sheet/plate with trimmed edges is ordered (see 6.2);
Option 1;
(e) nominal length in mm (for sheet and plate);
(f) width tolerances for products with thickness
> 10 mm (see 7.3);
(g) tolerances on flatness for products of category D (see table 7);
(h) flatness requirements for wide strip and strip
< 600 mm wide slit from strip (see 8.4);
(i) edge camber requirements for strip < 600 mm wide slit from wide strip (see 8.5).
Where no specific choice is made by the purchaser concerning points (f), (g), (h) and (i) the supplier shall refer back to the purchaser.
4.2 Options
A number of options are specified in clause 10. In the event that the purchaser does not indicate his wish to implement any of these options, the supplier shall supply in accordance with the basic specfication (see 6.2).
5 Designation
The designation of products in accordance with 4.1 shall also include the exact designation of the ordered steel grade.
Examples of designation:
(a) sheet according to this European Standard with nominal thickness of 2.0 mm, nominal width 1200 mm, with trimmed edges (GK), nominal length 2500 mm of steel 34 Cr 4 as specified in EN 10083:
sheet ES 10051 – 2,0 x 1200GK x 2500 steel EN 10083 – 34 Cr 4
(b) strip according to this European Standard with nominal thickness of 4.5 mm, nominal width 1500 mm, with mill edges of steel Fe 360 B, as specified in EN 10025
strip EN 10051 – 4,5 x 1500 steel EN 10025 – Fe 360 B 6 Form of supply
6.1 Sheet-/plate and strip shall be supplied with mill edges or with trimmed edges (GK), as agreed at the time of enquiry and order.
6.2 In the absence of information on the form of supply, sheet/plate and strip shall be supplied with mill edges.
6.3 The possibility of delivering coils with welding seams can be agreed at the time of enquiry and order.
The indication of the location of the weld can be agreed at the same time. Option2.
7 Tolerances for sheet and plate
7.1 Thickness
7.1.1 The tolerances on thickness for steels with normal deformation resistance at elevated
temperatures are given in table 2. These tolerances are indicated as category A.
7.1.2 For steels exhibiting a high deformation resistance at elevated temperatures the values of table 2 shall be increased by the amounts specified m table 3.
This results in the following categories and increments:
for steels of category B of table 3 the values in table 2 shall be increased by 15 %;
for steels of category C of table 3 the values in table 2 shall be increased by 30 %;
for steels of category D of table 3 the values in table 2 shall be increased by l0 %

3 Definitioner
I denna europastandard gäller följande definitioner:

4 Information som skall Iämnas av köparen 4.1 Allmänt
Följande information skall lämnas av köparen vid förfrågan och beställning:
a) beskrivning av produkten (band, plåt),
b) nummer på denna europastandard (EN 10 051), c) nominell tjocklek och bredd i millimeter,
d) bokstäverna GK om band och plåt med klippta eller gasskurna kanter önskas (se 6.2), Option 1
e) nominell längd i millimeter (för plåt),
f) breddtoleranser för produkter med tjocklek
> 10 mm (se 7.3),
g) planhetstoleranser för produkter av kategori D (se tabell 7),
h) planhetskrav för breda band och band med bredd
< 600 mm spaltat från breda band (se 8.5),
i) rakhetskrav för band med bredd < 600 mm spaltat från breda band (se 8.5).
Om inga särskilda önskemål har framförts av köparen be- träffande avsnitt f, g, h och i ovan skall leverantören ta kontakt med köparen.
4.2 Optioner
Ett antal optioner är förtecknade i avsnitt 10. Om köparen inte önskar tillämpa några av dessa optioner skall säljaren leverera i enlighet med basspecfikationen (se 6.2).
5 Beteckning
Beteckningen för produkter enligt 4.1 skall också innehålla den fullständiga beteckningen för den beställda stålsorten.
Exempel på beteckning:
a) plåt enligt denna europastandard med nominell tjocklek 2,0 mm, nominell bredd 1200 mm, med klippta eller gasskurna kanter, nominell längd 2500 mm av stål 34 Cr 4, enligt EN 10 083:
plåt EN 10 051 – 2,0 x 1200GK x 2500 stål EN 10 083 – 34 Cr 4
b) band enligt denna europastandard med nominell tjocklek 4,5 mm, nominell bredd 1500 mm, med valskant av stål Fe 360 B, enligt EN 10 025:
band EN 10 051 – 4,5 x 1500 stål EN 10 025 Fe 360 B
6 Leveransform
6.1 Plåt och band skall levereras med valskanter eller med klippta eller gasskurna kanter (GK), enligt överens- kommelse vid förfrågan och beställning.
6.2 Då information om leveransform saknas, skall plåt och band levereras med valskant.
6.3 Möjligheten att leverera rullar med svetsade sömmar kan överenskommas vid förfrågan och beställning. Över- enskommelser angående utmärkning av läget för svetsen kan träffas vid samma tidpunkt.
Option 2
7 Toleranser för plåt 7.1 Tjocklek
7.1.1 Tjocklekstoleranser för stål med normalt deforma- tionsmotstånd vid förhöjdda temperaturer, anges i tabell 2.
Dessa toleranser betecknas som kategori A.
7.1.2 För stål som vid förhöjda temperaturer visar ett högt deformationsmotstånd, skall värdena i tabell 2 ökas i enlighet med tabell 3.
Detta resulterar i följande kategorier och värdebokningar:
för stål av kategori B i tabell 3, värdena i ökas med 15 %;
för stål av kategori C i tabel1 3, värdena i ökas med 30 %;
för stål av kategori D i tabell 3, värdena i ökas med 40 %;
