Topic of Diploma Thesis: Customers’ awareness and attitude toward environmental corporate social responsibility

Objective of Diploma Thesis: This diploma thesis is focused on the environmental efforts of CSR in the 7-ELEVEN. It is aimed to explore the opinion customers have toward the environment and the environmental policies of the enterprise in order to propose strategies that may help the company gain competitive advantage, customer loyalty and environmental sustainability.

1. How does the company inform about new ECSR methods and concepts in addition to its website?

2. According to what criterion was the sample of respondents selected?

3. Is it the company itself or its customers who is the driving force behind the implementation of the ECSR policy?

The evaluation for the diploma thesis:

The objective of this diploma thesis is to discover the Taiwanese customers’

awareness and attitude toward the ECSR of 7-ELEVEN because this company plays a dominant role in retail business in Taiwan. The main focus is on the environmental responsibility done by the company and the feedback from the customers.

Application of implemented methods was contained. The self-selection sampling of the volunteer sampling technique was applied and some of the assumptions were rejected. The thesis also shows that the company has implemented environmental policies in their business operation and continues to modify their manag ement approach.

Clarity and coherence of the thesis is well conceived, processing of sources and acquired data evaluation was performed using appropriate methods. The conclusion is comprehensible and adequate summarizing all achieved results.

Although there are repeated typos in the thesis, the phrasing of writer's points of view is seamless and without any problems. Formal layout and style of the thesis is very good except for some tables that overlap on the following page.

Application of academic sources and literature review is without comments.

The work has fulfilled its goal and is recommended for defence.
