NEWSLETTER

The month of September has been a wonderful one as the Fritids team and the students have worked very well to achieve some set up goals. Before we highlight any of the activities students were engaged with we will like to take a moment to say a BIG THANK YOU to all the parents for your understanding, cooperation and support. You deserve that!

ISÄ Fritids has been able to have a cleanup activity with the theme ‘Save the Forest’. Students were divided into different groups to tidy up the schools forest area.

Students were very responsible and did a brilliant clean up.

Some Students have also practiced their baking skills with Katarina. Their chocolate cake was one of the best in Älmhult.

Parents are reminded to arrange their own child care on these days.

Forest Boundaries

Fritids have made a new forest boundary with red- painted wooden poles. Students are reminded not to go to the other side of the boundary. Thanks to the students who volunteered to paint the poles.

Art and Craft activities have been done by students.

Students have decorated the Fritids Room with some of the crafts they produced.

Movie Fridays!

We have booked the auditorium in Haganäs for our

’Movie Fridays’. Fritids intend to show child friendly movies on these days. Remember that the

movies are only shown on every third Friday.

Below are dates for Movie Fridays.

 17^th October, 2014.

 7^th November 2014.

 28 November 2014.

Swimming!

Swimming activity continues at the Haganäs Swimming pool on Modays. Students from PYP 4 &

5 are swimming on weeks 42, 43 and 45.

Note: The swimming activity is not mandatory.

Remember to provide your child with a towel and a swim suite.

Homework Room

Parents are reminded about our Fritids homework room where students can do their homework with the assistance of a member of staff if they need guidance. Parents who do not approve their child doing their homework at school can always remind us.

Clothing

We’ll like to remind parents to provide the right clothes for the weather as it is gradually getting colder.
