Welcome to the 4th Istanbul Design Bien- nial at SALT Galata for a Google Weaving Stop-Time workshop by Emelie Röndahl.
The workshop is an invitation to local weav- ers from in and around Istanbul to join and expand the Google Weaving Stop-time project.
During the workshop the participants are invited to weave letters using the Ghiordes knot technique. Each participants will make one letter, that together with the others will form new sentences and messages related to the project. The workshop is an extended and concentrated event of Emelie Röndahl’s online weaving school which is based on sharing and exchanging knowledge and skills. For mem- bers of the audience the workshop functions as an extension of the exhibition, inviting them to learn some practical knowledge about the Ghiordes knot.
The workshop is open to all interested, and is free of charge. Limited number of seats. First come, first served.
