Generaliserbarhet är ett begrepp som behandlar undersökningens resultat och huruvida dessa resultat skulle kunna ge tillämpning åt andra grupper som inte härrör till den aktuella undersökningen (Bryman & Bell, 2005, s. 99-102). Författarna anser i enlighet

inom samma affärsmiljö, med bakgrund av att principen bör vara densamma, det vill säga information bör spridas i de informationskanaler som ger den önskvärda effekten vid tillämpning av sociala medier. Noterbart är dock att studien är baserad utifrån BAE Systems affärsmiljö, som inte nödvändigtvis går att generalisera till andra företag inom andra B2G -miljöer.
