6.1 Rekommendationer till framtida forskning
Framtida forskning rekommenderas beröra ytterligare yrkesroller inom polisen då det av berörd studies resultat framkommit att den negativitet som rådde vid införandet av reformen inte enbart berörde områdespoliser utan polismyndigheten i stort. Den av studien berörda resursbrist berör även denna ytterligare yrkesroller inom Polisen. Forskning rörande implementering av reformer inom
polismyndigheter och påverkan av denna rekommenderas. Detta ur ett
longitudinellt perspektiv då struktur inom organisationer med detta har möjlighet att belysas över tid vilket skulle generera ytterligare insikt i omorganisering och dess effekter, såväl positiva som negativa, samt vilken inverkan reformen har på medarbetarna. Forskning av denna typ skulle ha möjlighet att frambringa kunskap gällande omorganisationer till framtida reformskapare och således underlätta implementering av den organisatoriska förändringen och öka förutsättningarna för denna.
