The Cancer Cytogenetic Unit at the University Hospital of Lausanne (CHUV) invites applications for the full time permanent position of:

CLINICAL LABORATORY GENETICIST (Onco-Hematology) The Cancer Cytogenetic Unit, operates within an integrated Medical Genetics Service which holds full accreditation to ISO CEI 17025 and 15189 standards. It is the largest cancer cytogenetic laboratory in Switzerland, dedicated to

comprehensive diagnostic analysis in hematological neoplasia. As a Swiss reference center it receives approximately 2500 samples per year and provides diagnostic analysis by

conventional G-band karyotyping, FISH, aCGH and SNP array both at the regional level within the Canton de Vaud and nationally throughout Switzerland. Additional expansion of its activities involves the development and implementation of molecular approaches including their application to solid tumor. Job description:

Reviewing of analyses, data interpretation, and

preparation/reviewing of reports. Ensure internal and external quality controls in agreement with the accreditation

requirements. Participate in development and implementation of state-of-the-art technologies (CGH/SNP array, next

generation sequencing). Job qualifications:

Applicant must possess a PhD and be board certified (FAMH or equivalent title) or eligible for such certification. Experience in cancer cyto- and molecular genetics (methodology and interpretation of data) and/or expertise in solid tumors would be advantageous. He/she should have a good working knowledge in French or the capacity to acquire it quickly.
