Sam Judd, Reeves, Schneider and I talked about removal of hill at Granby. Sam says Savage and Hiley are agreeable to leaving it. I recall Howell’s statement that he would leave it. We agreed to leave it. Prospect Mtn tunnel matters were discussed with See, McBirney and McClellen. Conference with Kingston, Cornwell and Parmakian on Mrs Kingston’s eff. Rating. REG

Saturday. At Green Mtn Dam with the Technical club. Talked to Bampas about governors. Suggested a Leeds and Northrop. Similar controller might be a solution to their problem. A ¼ turn on the slash pot screw will give stability operation but ½ turn open is required if they are to maintain frequency. They would be unstable if knocked off the line at this setting. Reservoir spilling over top of gates. 140 [illegible] valves. Both turbines at about 0.79 gate develop total of 28000 KW. They get 1.5 miles and 5 when governing. REG 6/30/47

Mr Ausfahl went to Power Utilization today.
