COVID INFORMATION & RESOURCES
Follow public health guidelines
Rams take care of Rams. Our most important commodity is the health of our students, faculty, staff and university visitors. We must do our part to keep each other healthy and to protect the health of our family, friends and larger Northern Colorado community.
Following public health guidance can help prevent the spread of COVID-19, and allows us to be together at CSU.
While you’re on university grounds, all students, faculty and staff are expected to wear a mask, wash hands often with soap and water, avoid gathering in groups, and maintain physical distancing of at least six feet.
Wear a mask at all times while in a university building, including classrooms, offices and laboratories, a public area such as a university housing hallway, community restroom, elevator or lobby, or outside when you cannot physically distance. This includes a requirement for instructors to wear a mask while
teaching.

Wash your hands with soap and water or use hand sanitizer Avoid gathering in groups
Maintain smart physical distancing of at least 6 feet between you and others
All students, faculty and staff should fill out the daily symptom checker to report symptoms, a positive test or a possible exposure.
The university has protocols in place to clean and disinfect our commonly touched surfaces, and our custodial crews have increased the frequency of their cleaning practices across campuses.
Every Ram must also clean when they arrive and depart from a personal space.
This includes cleaning your work station and other office services if you’re a faculty or staff member. If you’re a student, this includes cleaning your desk and chair in classrooms, residence hall rooms, suite bathrooms, and other areas such as your study cubicle in an academic building or the library when you arrive and leave.
Individuals will need to also disinfect frequently touched surfaces between cleaning cycles to prevent the spread of COVID-19
Students, faculty and staff are expected to disinfect frequently touched surfaces and shared equipment such as desks, chairs and tables in classrooms
Faculty and staff are also asked to disinfect doorknobs, copiers, service counters, microwaves, etc.
Daily symptom checker
Everyone who comes to university grounds must complete the Daily Symptom Checker. This includes students, faculty and staff.
Use the daily symptom checker to report symptoms, a positive test or possible exposure. The checker requires reporting your temperature and any symptoms of COVID-19 you may be experiencing.
Employees and students who live off campus must be free of ANY and all symptoms related to COVID-19 to be on a university campus or grounds.
If you do develop symptoms or test positive for COVID-19, you should report it through the daily symptom checker and take precautions to prevent the spread of the virus by self isolating, covering your cough, and avoiding contact with others.

To: All faculty and staff Dear Colleagues:
I want to start by acknowledging and thanking you for all your hard work and incredible dedication as we near our fall reopening. I know COVID-19 has presented us with a challenging few months, so I thank you for everything you are doing for our students, your departments, your colleagues and CSU, and I know you carry an especially heavy burden this week.
I also want to thank those of you who were able to attend Monday’s Preparing for Fall: Faculty Town Hall, and I encourage those of you who could not attend to view the recording of the session posted on the Provost’s website. More than 700 people attended the virtual session and one pressing need that rose to the top was for a brief In the Classroom –Teaching Checklist and a more detailed First Day of Classes FAQs to help guide you through our pandemic protocols, and to help ensure the health and wellness of you and our students.
These two documents (linked below) were informed by your feedback, and with input from your deans and our Teaching Continuity and Recovery Work Group:
In the Classroom – Teaching Checklist – one-page quick overview
First Day of Classes FAQs for Instructors – companion document with more detailed information We will continue to work with your colleges to assess needs and next steps to keep us moving forward against the challenges of this global pandemic. I wish you and your students the very best as we brave this next phase of our pandemic journey, and I will be thinking of you!
Sincerely, Mary
Mary Pedersen
