Elena Camporesi is a pharmacist from Forlí, Italy. Her curiosity and interest in research and laboratory work during her university studies brought her to Sweden, where she completed her MSc thesis at the Center for Alzheimer Research at the Karolinska Institute in Stockholm. This experience inspired her to pursue her PhD studies in neuroscience at the University of Gothenburg, Department of Psychiatry and Neurochemistry (Sweden). Elena’s project aimed to study synaptic biomarkers in neurodegenerative disorders, coupling immunoassays and mass spectrometric methods for their study.
