Title (English)

Process optimization for a medium-sized manufacturing dialysis unit

Title (Swedish)

Abstract

A method for purifying cross-linked hyaluronic acid was studied and an optimization proposal was developed. The system studied was dialysis tubing, which relies on diffusion of

substances through a semipermeable membrane. Different factors affecting the diffusion rate were studied experimentally, and compared to simulated computer models, ultimately yielding the optimization proposal.
