Prof. Dr. Adam Daniel Rotfeld is a Polish researcher and diplomat, Former Minister of Foreign Affairs, Co-Chairman of the Polish-Russian Group on Difficult Matters and Commissioner of the Euro-Atlantic Security Initiative Commission, Director of the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI) in 1990-2002; member of the UN SG’s Advisory Board on Disarmament Matters in 2006-2011 (chaired the ABDM in 2008) and the NATO Group of Experts (Wisemen Group) on new Strategic Concept of Alliance (2009-2010). Member of the European Leadership Network (ELN) and participant of Aspen Ministers Forum (AMF).
His main research interests are the theory and practice of international security, human rights, conflict solution, arms control and disarmament. He has published more than 20 monographs and about 450 articles and studies. He is a professor at the Warsaw University.
The lecture will be introduced and chaired by Torbjörn Becker, Director at SITE.
