Förslag till framtida forskning

Det finns mycket tidigare forskning som berör vilka kritiska framgångsfaktorer som finns och tillämpas vid ERP-implementeringar. Denna studie har syftat till att få en ökad förståelse vad som är kritiskt relaterat till viktiga framgångsfaktorer vid ERP-implementeringar, vilket har gjorts genom empiri från tre projektledare samt insamlad teori om de sex undersökta framgångsfaktorerna. Vidare studier skulle kunna ta detta vidare genom att exempelvis gå djupare genom en avgränsning till endast något fåtal av dessa framgångsfaktorer, och undersöka om det som kan ses som kritiskt är något som nyttjas och i sådana fall hur. I en sådan studie skulle det empiriska materialet kunna utökas genom att inkludera fler roller än endast projektledare, för att få empiri från fler perspektiv. Alternativt skulle vidare studier som har möjlighet kunna komplettera en kvalitativ undersökning med en kvantitativ, för att öka sannolikheten att generalisera resultaten. Det hade även varit intressant att undersöka huruvida kritiska framgångsfaktorer skiljer sig åt i små, medel och stora företag.
