Vidare forskning på området skulle kunna riktas mot att undersöka huruvida branschtillhörigheten har någon inverkan på medarbetarna och arbetsmiljön. Utifrån studiens resultat vore det intressant att se om uppfattningen av arbetssätt och arbetsmiljö skulle skilja sig mellan olika branscher och vad det skulle finnas för likheter och skillnader. Förslagsvis skulle vidare forskning utföras med en blandning av kvantitativ och kvalitativ metod. På så sätt skulle enkätundersökningar kunna blandas med djupgående intervjuer med medarbetare och högre uppsatta chefer. På så sätt kan större utrymme ges för fler perspektiv som sammanslaget kan ge en djupare förståelse för vad medarbetarna faktiskt tycker om aktivitetsbaserade arbetsplatser.

Ett annat förslag på vidare forskning är att undersöka huruvida olika implementeringsstrategier har fungerat olika bra för olika organisationer. Det skulle vara spännande att utreda om det utifrån likheter i olika tillvägagångssätt går att ta fram någon typ av standard för framtida organisationer när de ska implementera ett aktivitetsbaserat arbetsplatskoncept.
