Lista ¨ over f¨ oretag och l¨ akemedel

F¨oretag

F¨oretagen som sammanfattas i statistiken i figur 2, och som ¨aven presenteras i tabell 1 i Bilagor, sammanst¨alldes genom ett flertal olika k¨allor. N¨ar ett f¨oretag identifierades som att vara delaktig inom den peptidbaserade l¨akemedelsmarknaden fr˚an en av k¨allorna, fortsatte s¨okningen kring f¨oretagets forskning i dagsl¨aget p˚a f¨oretagets hemsida. P˚a f¨oretagens hemsida anv¨andes flikarna p˚a hemsidan, samt eventuellt hemsidans s¨okfunktion, f¨or att finna information kring

f¨oretagens forskningsprojekt och inom vilka omr˚aden dessa projekt skulle kunna klassificeras inom g¨allande de omr˚aden definiterats i denna rapport som forskningomr˚aden.

De k¨allor som anv¨andes i syfte att finna olika l¨akemedelsf¨oretag involverade i peptidl¨akemedel var Research and Markets (2015), Kuchenreuther (2015), Kuchenreuther och Sackman (2015), BioPharmGuy (2016), Dutch Life Science Database (2017), Biotechgate (2017a), Biotechgate (2017b), Otto et al. (2014), Humphrey (2015), UK Life Sciences (2017), Swedish Life Sciences (2017) och Research and Markets (2016).

L¨akemedel

De l¨akemedel som anv¨ants som basis f¨or figur 3, och som g˚ar att ˚aterfinna i tabell 2, i Bilagor, kompilerades genom att s¨oka igenom databaser f¨or l¨akemedel godk¨anda n˚agonstans i v¨arlden, f¨or att sedan finna relevant information kring dessa l¨akemedel. Kriteriet f¨or att komma med p˚a listan var att l¨akemedlet m˚aste vara peptidbaserat, och godk¨ant i n˚agot land i rapportens definierade kluster. Peptidbaserat definierades som ett l¨akemedel som ¨ar till huvudsak uppbyggt av aminosyror, d¨ar aminosyrakedjans l¨angd ej ¨

oversteg 100 aminosyror. De databaser som anv¨andes var hemsidan f¨or L¨akemedelsverket (2017), THPdb (2017), Transparency Market Research (2016), Kaspar och Reichert (2013) och Central Watch (2017).

anv¨andningsomr˚ade, eller tillverkare, ej framgick i databasen, gjordes en Google-s¨okning p˚a l¨akemedlets m¨arkesnamn, f¨or att erh˚alla denna information fr˚an tillverkarnas hemsida. L¨akemedlens anv¨andningsomr˚aden tolkades av projektgruppen som tillh¨orandes en av de kategorier i figur 3, d˚a kategoriseringen av dessa l¨akemedel ger ett tydligare resultat.

Fallstudier

I de fallstudier som gjorts under rubriken Relationsmodell, p˚ab¨orjades informationss¨okningen med att finna relevanta universitet inom rapportens definierade kluster. Top universities (2017) anv¨andes som k¨alla f¨or att finna de universitet inom v˚ara kluster som rankades p˚a topp 100 g¨allande omr˚adet life-science. Av dessa universitet unders¨oktes sedan ett utvalt antal fr˚an varje kluster efter samarbeten med l¨akemedelsindustrin. Denna unders¨okning skedde genom universitetens hemsidor, d¨ar hemsidornas s¨okfunktion eller menyval nyttjades f¨or att hitta pressmeddelanden, beskrivningar eller dylikt p˚a samarbeten mellan dessa universitet och industrin. Om informationen som ˚aterfanns ej var tillr¨acklig f¨or att p˚a ett tillfredsst¨allande vis beskriva samarbetet, gjordes en s¨okning p˚a industrif¨oretagets hemsida ocks˚a efter detta samarbete. De fallstudier som valdes ut var fr¨amst de d¨ar information kring samarbetet mellan universitetet och industrif¨oretaget var l¨attillg¨angligt redan p˚a universitetets hemsida.

Mejlkonversationer

F¨or att erh˚alla information om samarbeten inom- och mellan f¨oretag och akademi p˚a olika l¨aros¨aten i Sverige kontaktades representanter fr˚an respektive l¨aros¨ate via mejl. Jan Kihlberg, professor vid institutionen f¨or kemi p˚a Uppsala universitet och Jens Lagerstedt, doktorand och docent vid Lunds universitet ombads beskriva befintliga forskningsprojekt p˚a l¨aros¨atet och vilka akt¨orer som ingick i projektet.

Intervjuer

Under m¨ote med Mathias Hallberg, professor vid institutionen f¨or farmaceutisk biovetenskap p˚a Uppsala universitet och forskare inom biologisk beroendeforskning, st¨alldes fr˚agor kring peptidbaserade l¨akemedelsmarknaden samt dess trender och utmaningar.
