Code of ethics defining purposes and limitations embodied in the

constitution and by laws governing the Agrioul tur~.l Science Club.

It is hereby agreed that the follcbwing code defining the

ob-jects and purposes and setting forth limitations to the

activi-ties of the Science Club be adopted as a governing code of the club.

First--Mental Improvement Second--Social development

Under the first head, mental improvement, this is to be

ac-complished by the promot~on of science; the study of scientific

principles by its membership. The members to prepare and read

papers on scientific subjects or on subjects of a practical na-ture related to science--these papers to be discussed and copies

provided to each member for future reference, all of whibh is for the purpose of self-improvement, and this self-improvement in turn to make us more efficient in our variousvvooations and avocations.

Under the second neading, social ·development, that the club shall foster social intercourse among its members through luncheons, dinners, banquets and other entertaining features which may result

in the desired effects. ·

Secondary objectives of the club shall be as follows: First--Moral development

Seoohd--Spiritual development

Third--Community welfare

We pledge ourselves to at all times to stand for moral and

spiritual uplift for ourselves and for society, and these ideals

to be exemp~ified through examples of our own personal conduct

before our fellow men.

The Club shall endorse such service to our community or to

society as can be given by the members through their various

vocations or avocations, or as can be rendered by assisting some

service organization or service agency undertaking such service

inour community. ·

The Club may aid and assist e v legitimate service organization

or agency in the disemmination of scientific or practical

informa-tion in so far as it is possible without undue inconvenience to

its members.

The Club may aid and assist in the promotion of other agencies

what will undertake to solve the problems of our communities when
