As an Infantry Captain., he was killed in action 7/10/44 at the Foret de Mont Castre., France. Marsh has been a member of the Chamber of Commerce since his arrival at Billings and for 15 yea.rs was a member of the Rotary Club. He resigned from that organization during World War II because unable to maintain attendance without inter-fering with Company duties.
His plans following retirement include a round trip sea voyage from Southern California to Northern Washington in late June or early July, followed by a visit of several weeks with his son, Philip, and family at Whittier, frequent trout fishing trips upon his return to Montana and later in the year a visit of several weeks at Dallas, Texas with his grandson, ~ohn
