Feminist Bookstore News, and the Feminist Bookstore Network, were an invaluable resource for women's and LGBT bookstores starting in the late 1970's. The issues are full of information about women's and feminist publishing companies, bookstores, and authors. Carol Seajay worked tirelessly to connect us all and to be a conduit to sharing information among us.
My partner Sally ("Spider") Kornblith began subscribing in 1986. Before we met, she had considered opening a women's bookstore, even to the point of negotiating for commercial space. She eventually decided it would be too much to take on by herself, although she continued her subscription to FB .
