A letter from the chair…
Welcome to the annual Holiday Spectacular! We are excited to kick off the holiday season
with you. As we celebrate the season of family traditions and giving, tonight’s concert is very
special to me in many ways. Not only do we get to enjoy a lovely holiday program, but we
have the opportunity to support the talented young musicians you see on stage in a very
meaningful way — through giving.
Throughout the performance, you will hear some wonderful stories about our students and
what they are doing in their musical pursuits. Scholarships are such an important part of
this equation and are essential to our mission here at CSU. They allow students to pursue
their musical and artistic passion — be it in performance, education, therapy, composition,
research, or beyond — in order to impact the lives of individuals and our communities.
A portion of the price of your ticket will go to support music scholarships at CSU. But I hope you will join me in making
even more of a commitment to our students and the bright future they represent by making a gift tonight through the
envelope provided in your program. Please indicate “Music Scholarships” on the form and leave it in one of the marked
boxes in the lobby on your way out this evening.
