Introduction of Windows 10
Hello and welcome to the introduction of the Ki Windows 10.
I would like to start off by introducing the Windows start menu which can be found at the bottom left corner. To expand this menu, simply left click on the icon.
We're going to focus on the right part of the start menu where we have placed different icons for softwares that we recommend that you use.
At the top you can find the office package suite, the most common apps from the office package suite is Outlook, word, excel and PowerPoint. To start any of these programs left click on their icon.
Below the office package Suite, you can find two different programs which are software Center and TeamViewer quicksupport.
Teamviewer QuickSupport is a tool that enables remote control between computers, in other words the IT Helpdesk can remotely connect to your computer and control the mouse cursor and assist you in your case with the IT Helpdesk.
Start the program by left clicking the icon and then provide the ID number to your Helpdesk technician for them to be able to reach your computer.
We go back to the start menu and this time we open software Center.
In software Center you will find a lot of different software to install for example Acrobat Reader, Google Chrome, Zoom and alot more.
Licenses that you have purchased through Wisum will also be found in here.
To install the software start by finding the software in the list. Or use the search function in the upper right corner. Left click on the software you wish to install and then press the install button.
Software Center will now install this program in the background while you can keep on using your computer freely. You will get notifications during the installation process.
As you can see here the first notification has arrived, it says that installation is started.
Here is the second notification letting us know that installation is complete.
I would also like to let you know about the search bar in the bottom left corner.
If you click the search bar next to the start menu you can start typing directly and here, you can find actually anything that's locally saved on your computer.
If you are looking to start Word for example you can search for Word.
If you are looking for a PDF file that you know the name of simply start by typing the name of the file.
As you can see here I search for KI box and it gives me a lot of different options for documents that are stored on my computer.

The search bar works for anything any program, any file, any picture and any document that's on your computer.
The last thing I would like to tell you about this the information that can be found in the bottom right corner of your desktop.
Firstly, you have the contact information to the IT Helpdesk, both email and telephone.
Below that we have had put some information that we usually ask for, so we just put it easily accessible for you to find.
