This catalogue lists the bees so far found in Sweden and denotes from which of the provinces the species have been recorded. The catalogue is presented in three parts and this, the second, deals with the families Andrenidae and Halictidae, with 57 and 53 species respectively. Andre- naJulvidaSchenck, A, alfkenello Perkins, A. minutuloides Perkins and SphecodesJerrugina- las von Hagens are here recorded from Sweden for the first time.

The first part of the Swedish bee catalogue, deal- ing with the Colletidae and the Melittidae, has al- ready been published (Erlandsson et al. 1988).
The classification and nomenclature used in this
list is a synthesis of Dylewska (1987), Ebmer (1988), Richards (1978), Westrich (1984) and Vik- berg (1986). Many other works also have been consulted (see reference list). Valuable informa- tion concerning these matters, given by different specialists as well as own studies, are included.
The species are arranged in alphabetical order within the genera and subgenera (Tab. l). Notes and comments are given for some species. Only the synonyms found in the Swedish or foreign lite- rature concerning Swedish bee species are given.
The faunistic provinces of Sweden are shown in Fig. l.
Abbreviations. The Swedish provinces follow the order:

47. A. assimilis gallica. One female, identified
by P.M.E Verhoeff, collected in Sk 1933 (Herr- strdm l95l) was studied in ZML. Extinct in Swe- den?
51. A. thoracico. Not recorded since Tjeder (1954) reported on a female collected in 1950 and identified by E. Valkeila.
56. A. simillima. Two females, identified by
J.D. Alfken, reported from Nii (Jansson 1927)
were studied in ZML. One male collected in Sk, BarkAkra in l95l seen in NRM.
58-60. The subgenus Plastandrena needs to be revised. All species, except tibialis, should be re- garded as preliminary.
61. A. chrysopyga. Rare. Known from a few lo- calities in Sk.
62. A. grovida. Dylewska (1987) mentions it from southern Sweden. However, we have not seen any specimens. Previously not reported from Sweden.
70. A. curvungulo. R.arc. From Sk last men- tioned by Aurivillius (1903). Few sites are known on Go.
73. A. labiolis. The most recent record is from Og, Valdemarsvik in 1953 (in coll. NRM).
74. A. alfkenel/a. Not previously recorded from Sweden. It is frequent on Ol and rare on Go.
77. A. minutuloides. Not previously recorded from Sweden. Rare.
78. A. niveata. Reported from Go and Nii by
Jansson (1927). All seven specimens were deter- mined by J.D. Alfken. One male also reported from Ol by Wolf (1960), collected in 1940. All spe- cimens in ZML. The Central European A. nana (Kirby) (Dylewska 1987), mentioned by Thomson (1870b, 1872) and Aurivillius (1903) concerns, according to Alfken (1927), probably A. nanaNy- lander 1848. Alfken (1927) believed that the fe- male of A. nona Nylander belongs to A. niveoto Friese, while the male belongs to A. showella (Kir- by), i.e. A. coitona (Kirby).
87. A. schencki. Two females collected in l94l
were reported from Ol by Wolf (1960) (in coll.
ZML). Extinct in Sweden?
94. H. sexcinctus. Last reported by Aurivillius (1903). Listed as extinct in Sweden in Andersson et al. (1987).
95-97. The Swedish distributions of the Sela- donia species are mapped in Janzon & Svensson (1e84).
107. L. boreale. Earlier found in Sweden and Japan (Svensson et al. 1977) and now also known
from arctic Canada (Sakagami & Toda 1986).
Other Holarctic Halictinae species include: 1L rrz-
bicundus, H. confusus, L. leucozonium and L.
rufitarse.
108. Z. brevicorne. Three males, collected in 1930 and earlier, reported from Sk by Bltithgen (1958) and Wolf (1960) were studied in ZML. Ex- tinct in Sweden?
