Markus Niklasson was born in Nyköping in 1987 to Anette and Bengt Niklasson. In 2013 he became a member of Mensa Sweden and graduated from Linköping University with a Degree of Master of Science in Engineering - Chemical Biology. He continued his work under Associate Professor Patrik Lundström at the Department of Physics, Chemistry and Biology, Linköping University, where he started his doctoral studies in 2014.
