I hereby report that the owners of the above fixed property – which is taxable as agricultural property – have appointed me as their representative under the Management of Jointly Owned Agricultural Properties Act (1989:31).
According to the above-mentioned law, the representative is responsible for the ongoing management of the property according to the guidelines and instruc- tions provided by the joint owners. However, the law does not confer authority to transfer the property or part of it, to mortgage or pledge the property or to grant rights of use or other rights in the property for a period of more than five years or for anyone's lifetime. Nor is the representative authorised to grant rights of use in the property if the agreement can be extended at the request of the usufructuary. This means that to carry out any of the above, the representa- tive needs some other form of authorisation, such as a power of attorney from the joint owners.
I hereby solemnly declare that the provisions of the Management of Jointly Owned Agricultural Properties Act (1989:31) were complied with when the representative was appointed.
