lovisa bergengren received her medical degree from Linköping University in 2000 and completed her residency in obstetrics and gynaecology at Örebro University Hospital in 2010, where she is currently working as a senior consul- tant. She is responsible for the cervical screening programme in the Region of Örebro County; is the process leader of cervical screening in RCC Uppsala-Örebro and represents the region in the national working group for prevention of cervical cancer, NACx; and is a member of the Swedish National Cervical Screening Registry steering committee. Since 2014, she has been registered as a PhD student at the School of Health and Medicine, Örebro University, and this research was performed with the supervision of Associate Professor Gisela Helenius and Professor Mats Karlsson.
