6.4 Förslag till fortsatt forskning

Denna studie visar på komplexiteten av kundnöjdhet, där det finns flertalet faktorer som påverkar den totala kundnöjdheten. Eftersom det tidigare inte funnits verktyg som redovisar kundnöjdheten på en attributnivå inom sågverksindustrin skulle påståendena behöva prövas mot kunderna så att de mäter rätt saker. Det skulle kunna genomföras genom att använda en kvantitativ metod där det utformade indexet prövas i ett flertal olika verksamheter och granskar insamlade data med hjälp av statistiska metoder. Det hade också varit bra ifall framtida studier hade möjlighet att intervjua både tilltänkta och nuvarande B2B-kunder inom Norge och Danmark för att även kunna säkerställa kvalitén mot Skandinavien, det hade dessutom ökat studiens generaliserbarhet.

Det uppstod även osäkerheter under intervjuerna hos både B2B-kunderna och Case-företaget över vad hybridförslag var. Eftersom hybridförslag har redovisat lyckade resultat inom andra industrier hade det varit intressant att utveckla förståelsen inom sågverksindustrin. Ifall ett företag lyckas använda sig av hybridförslag skulle de kunna skapa en konkurrensfördel. Det finns även brister inom den nuvarande forskningen gällande hybridförslag och hur de skulle kunna vara utformade mot sågverksindustrin. Det finns forskning gjord mot tillverkningsindustrin, men inte specifikt mot sågverksindustrin.
