6.2. Förslag till vidare forskning

Förslag till framtida forskning är att undersöka de främsta motivationsfaktorerna för en äldre generation för att se vad som motiverar revisorer med familj och barn. Det skulle kunna ge ett annorlunda utfall om revisorerna kombinerade det krävande revisionsyrket med att vara förälder.

Även revisorer med högre lön till följd av mer erfarenhet inom branschen skulle kunna presentera andra motivationsfaktorer. En sådan undersökning skulle eventuellt generera en annan synvinkel på revisionsbranschen.

Tidigare forskning tyder på att generation Y värderar en balans mellan arbete och privatliv, något som de tillfrågade revisorerna i studien också nämner. Det som däremot skulle kunna undersökas ytterligare är hur revisorer i generation definierar denna arbetslivsbalans. Flera av de tillfrågade revisorerna bekräftar att branschen innebär hög arbetsbelastning i perioder, men de har inga förslag på hur detta skulle kunna förbättras. Även det är något som skulle kunna forskas vidare kring för att kunna omfördela arbetsstrukturen.
