6.1. Fortsatt forskning
Fortsatt forskning inom kontexten för spelifiering av kulturarv behöver ständigt förnyas för att förbli relevant. Detta på grund av områdets snabbföränderliga natur.
Baserat på den föreliggande studiens resultat, skulle författarna vilja föreslå följande inriktningar för fortsatt forskning: 1) En utökad studie där fler platsbaserade spelifierade applikationer som uppmärksammar kulturarv studeras för att förmå skapa ett mer generaliserbart resultat; 2) Studerandet av kulturella skillnader på användares behov vad gäller interagerandet med kulturarv genom en platsbaserad spelifierad applikation, med fokus på både inhemsk och inkommande turism; 3) En utökad studie där ett bredare urval än den föreliggande studiens mer homogena urval inkluderas för att se till andra användargruppers behov.
