ADDITIONAL MATERIAL ON S. G. HOOPER
Sabin G. Hooper, who becomes superintendent of the Gering, Nebr., factory May 20, is the son of Harry Hooper, who retired in 1949 as assistant general superintendent of Great Western after 45 years of service. The elder Hooper now lives at 1419 - 4th Avenue, Scottsbluff.
Mr. Hooper began work with Great Western in 1932 with inter-mittent assignments at Scottsbluff and Gering. During interca.mpaign periods he worked in the engineering office at Scottsbluff.
He became a permanent employee in 1938 and, after mastering the various stations of the factories, was made assistant superintendent at Mitchell, Nebr., in 1946. He subsequently served as assistant
superintendent at Sterling and Fort Collins, Colo., and Billings, Mont., and was promoted to superintendent at Sterling in 1957.
Mr. Hooper attended the University of Nebraska and Colorado State University, 1935-38.
He was married to Miss Kathleen Tierney at Scottsbluff in 1940. They have four children. Elizabeth, 18, attends Colorado State College at Greeley. Jerry, 16, is in high school. In grade school are
Jo Anne, 12, and Helen, 10.
