The trains go very fast and are unable to stop in time if you are on the tracks. Some trains make so little noise that you can’t hear them coming. The current in the electric cables is always on and can electrocute you if you come too close.
Look both ways!
Intersections where there isn’t much car traffic don’t have gates. Look both ways before crossing the tracks.
Stop and wait!
Red flashing lights with the gates down mean that a train is approaching and you need to stop and wait.
Don’t set foot on the tracks!
You will be putting your life in danger. You could be run over.
