Saare Windfarm - Environmental Impact Assessment Program

The Swedish Transport Administration hereby leaves our views regarding the Environmental Impact Assessment Program (Draft March 30, 2021) of the Saare Wind Energy offshore wind farm.

The Swedish Transport administration recognise that the opinions we had in the earlier consultation has been met, insofar that the impact on navigation systems, maritime, communication systems, and aviation and maritime safety will be addressed as a separate issue in the EIA. We are thankful for this, and that the traffic separation schemes south of Gotland (TSS North Hoburgsbank) will be taken into account.

Given that the project will address this, we have no further opinions regarding the strategic environmental assessment at this stage. However, we will follow the continued process with great interest.
