Title (English)

Cluster Scheduler

Title (Swedish) Abstract

All over the world laboratories use instruments provided by Pharmacia Diagnostics. In a general case a laboratory has a Cluster of different types of instruments. The objective of the Cluster Scheduler is to provide the laboratory personnel with good advice on how to distribute (Schedule) requested tests on existing instruments for optimising test throughput. During this work emphasis was on modelling and parameter representation with aim to investigate the possibilities of a CS. Effort has also been spent on implementing the modell in C++. The Cluster Scheduler is an event driven central job scheduler with optimiser support cooperating with the instruments.
