7. Slutsats

7.1 Förslag på vidare forskning

Detta arbete bidrar till den samtida behov av forskning om det kommunala arbetet med välfärdsteknik inom äldreomsorgen, särskilt utifrån kommunala tjänstemäns perspektiv. Med detta arbete som utgångspunkt kan en liknande studie göras på kommuner med en andel äldre som överstiger 20%, då samtliga medverkande kommuner i detta arbete hade en andel äldre mellan 15–19,4%. Kommuners befintliga och framtida andel äldre kan förstås ha en betydelse för vilka omsorgsfrågor som prioriteras.

En fördjupande studie om den heterogena användargruppen av välfärdsteknik inom äldreomsorgen kan vara av fördel för både vårdgivare, tjänsteleverantörer och kommuner. Förståelse för mötet mellan olika logiker kring välfärdsteknik skulle även bidra till optimal utformning av riktlinjer och policys. Därutöver anser jag att det skulle vara nyttigt för utvecklingen att undersöka påföljden av utredningen SOU 2020:14 för kommunerna och på vilket sätt samt för vem vision eHälsa 2025 främjat utvecklingen.

AI är en teknik med stor potential för äldreomsorgssektorn, och som har nämnts i detta arbete men inte fått ett signifikant utrymme. Det är en spännande aspekt som bör studeras, särskilt i svensk kontext och med framtida målgrupp i åtanke. Det kan även vara fördelaktigt, speciellt för oerfarna kommuner, att undersöka en specifik teknik som bara få kommuner infört. På så vis kan en kommuns implementeringsprocess från upphandling, pilottest, implementering och utvärdering observeras och utvärderas.

Vidare skulle det vara nyttigt med en studie som har större fokus på konsekvenser och möjligheter med isomorfism och normativ isomorfism, på olika nivåer. Detta eftersom det skulle generera ökad kunskap om effekten av samverkan i just denna kontext, om kommuners planering och nationella beredskap inför den demografiska utvecklingen. Slutligen finns ett kunskapsutrymme för att studera lönsamheten med eHälsomyndighetens satsning på en gemensam plattform för Sveriges kommuner att utbyta information och erfarenheter med diverse eHälsorelaterade initiativ.
