ADDITIONAL MATERIAL ON FRANK Z UMBRINK
Frank Zumbrink, newly appointed manager of the Longmont factory of The Great Western Sugar Company, has had a well-rounded
experience in the beet sugar industry.
He was born at Alma, Mich. , and grew up on a farm helping his father, the late Frank Zumbrink, grow sugar beets, onions, potatoes and other local crops.
He entered Michigan State College in 1940 and served in the Air Force 1942 -46 as a gunner and mechanic, spending most of his time in Texas and the last nine months in Saipan and Tinian.
Mr. Zumbrink began his Great Western work in Nebraska as a Heldman at Lyman in 1952, then, after a brief assignment to the Gering district, continued as a Heldman at Lyman from 1953 to 1957 when he moved to Brush, Colo., as assistant manager of the Fort Morgan district.
His next promotion brought him to Denver in 1960 as assistant to the southern district manager, from which post he now goes to Longmont as manager.
Mr. Zumbrink was married to Miss Jane Ann Chamberlain in 1946. Their children are Mark Lee, 6 years old, and Katherine Edna, 3.
He is a member of the Denver Chamber of Commerce, Denver Ag Club and Denver 4-H Advisory Council, Inc. The Zumbrinks are members of Christ Methodist Church.
