The Governing Council has enjoyed a ~rorluctive

initiated and passed new By-Laws which allow for
a new President-Elect and Co-Editor svsteG.

CSNA--What is it? An organization full of ways to make and
spend money? Perhaps, but much more than that! CStl/\ allo1•!S
us to become involved, to voice our opir.io~s. to take a
stand on major issues and be heard --- nation-wide! This
is done through participation vlith our district -- business
meetings, Brockhurst, fashion shows, sellinq candy and
stationery, taco parties; \'Jith our state -- many of us
serve on the State Board and participate in their act
ivi-ties, such as, Fall Round-Up and the Staie Convention;
nationa1ly -- taking part in major issues at our yearly
conventions. Four of us v,ere able to attend the llational
Convention in Miami last May and we hope to have manv
more representing Colorado this year in Dallas.
Remember, CSNA can only be 1,,hat we put into it and expect
to get out of it --- no more, no less. Get involved.

It wasn't long before the Juniors got
dm·m to the nitty gritty business of
the year -- Freshman Initiation.
Granted, the Frosh may !lave been
dreading the coming events, but oh!
If they only knew the inside scoor!
The Juniors 1-Jere the i1ardes t hit of
all ! They had to wake up earlier
so that they could get together to
arouse the Frosh at all hours of the night. The~ had to slave away in the
kitchen at :00 a.m. with primitive
cooking utensils (their only
avail-able dish being a bed pan) just to
give the Frosh an early morning snack.
Worst of all, in spite of their all
out efforts to vie 1 come the Freshman,
they got not one word of thanks.
As a last resort, in order to
negotiate a peace treaty, the Juniors
gave the Freshmen and ice cream social.
This seemed to do the trick.
No\'1 the Freshman v,ere a part of Beth-El.
