Approved and foiWarded by:The annual report is a review, analysis, interpretation, and presentation
to the people of the county, the State, and the Nation of the sum to~al of th~
activities of the county aF:ricultural agent for tile year. The making of such a. report is of .Primary value to the county agricultural agent and t:Qe. county extension organization.
rhe narrative report should be a statement in orderly fashion, and under
appropriate subheading~, of the ~ork done, methods used, and results secured
under each project, as ·well as of the general work accomplished. Every
state-ment should be clear-cut, concise, forceful, and, where possible, rein,t;orced
with alliple data from the statistital summary. In the preparation of the part
of the report relating to each project~ the results reported in the statistical
s-Qllllary for the ~roject should be analyzed, conclusion dra~vn, and ~ecomn1enda
tions made. The report may well be illustrated with photographs, maps, dia-g:arns, blue prints or cc_pies of charts and other forms used in demonstration
w~rk. Full credit should be given to all cooperating agencies. The lines
should be single-spaced. Yfith double space between the paragraphs, and
reason-ably good margins left. The statistical summary will grow naturally out of
the field and cff'ice records.
The following p-lan is suggestive of how the rej)Ort may be clearly and systematically outlined:

To supplement the narrative :part of the re.f o:ct, a.nd. iD c-.:-...._ _.._ .. ·: ·
parable State and National summaries can be made, it is neces;:;arJ that each agent include a statisti~al sun:b.--nary of the work in his county. Tt.e following form has been prepared to insure uniforillity in reporting- In addition to the
~uestions asked ~~der each subdivision of the ~eport , space is provided for the State to add other questions of State-wide impor~~nce. Additional roan
is also provided for each county agent to acid other i.:.'1Y}?Ortant statistical
in-foroation not covered in the series of National and State questions. For t he
sake of clearness the ~uestions are arranged in the same order as suggested
for the narrative.
