To authorize certain additional measures to as~urc aceo;nplish-ment of the objectives of title II of the Colorado Iliver
Basin Salinity Control Act, and to increase the authorized expenditures ceiling for the Paradox Valley Salinity Control Unit, Colorado, and for other purposes.

America in
Congress assembled,
3 That the Act of June 24, 1974 (88 Stat. 266), the Colorado 4 River Basin Salinity Control Act, is hereby amended as 5 follows:
1 SEC. I. (a) After the word "units" in the first sentence
'> of section 202, insert a comma followed by the phrase,
"in-3 eluding measures to mitigate losses of habitats for fish and
4 wildlife related thereto,".
5 (b) After the first sentence of paragr~ph (2) of section
6 202 insert the following four sentences:
7 "Construction shall be limited to stage ont> de,·elopment

17 Colorado River. Recommendations of the Secretary to the
I 8 Congress pertaining to the construction of salinity control
19 facilities of stages of the Orand Valley Unit subsequent to
20 sh1ge one ~hall be based upon findings from his assessment of
21 stagcone.".
22 (c) In the second srntence of parngraph (:2) of srction
23 202, after the comma following the cbtN.', ":\h•asure~ ~hall
24 include lining of canals and latrrals," insert the phrase,
