Vår studie har gett en inblick i framställningen av svarta mäns relation till varandra
sinsemellan, hur attityden till homosexualitet ser ut och hur aggressivitet och femininitet kan utformas och synas hos dessa män. Som förslag till vidare forskning skulle det vara intressant att se hur en liknande studie som denna som är en jämförande studie skulle se ut. Det kan vara att Moonlight (2016) och en annan film som behandlar ett samhälle dominerat av svarta amerikaner med ett fokus på homosexualitet skiljer sig eller liknas vid varandra.
Ett annat förslag till vidare forskning är att jämföra två filmer som utgår från två olika samhällen, där ena är har låg och andra har hög socioekonomisk status. Båda filmerna ska ha liknande problematik, till exempel homosexualitet, och jämföra hur det ser ut i de två filmerna och därmed undersöka huruvida framställningen av homosexualitet liknas vid varandra eller om det skiljer sig. Den potentiella studien får då ta hänsyn till socioekonomisk standard som de två filmerna utspelar sig i samt vilka karaktärerna i filmen är eftersom verkligheten skiljer sig beroende på demografin som dominerar det specifika samhället filmen utspelar sig i.
