'Time of Your Life' planned for

Homecoming/Family Weekend

Faculty and staff are encouraged to join students, parents and alumni and have the

"The Time of Your Life" when Homecoming/ Family Weekend gets underway at Colorado State Oct. 19-21.

"Our theme this year reflects our desire to make this a fun and memorable weekend for everyone who participates," said Sandy Swaim, assistant to the director of the Lory Student Center, who co-chaired the Home-coming/Family Weekend planning committee with Alumni Director Michelle McKim.

Several colleges have planned special reunion and scholarship celebrations for their students and alumni. This year, the classes of 1930, 1940, 1950 and 1960 will return to campus for reunion festivities.

The weekend is packed with activities that are open to the public, although some require tickets. For a complete program schedule and reservation information, call 491-7501.

Events on Friday include a Rhythm Fest from 3:30-7:30 p.m. Oct. 19 at the Sutherland Sculpture Garden. The fest will feature live bands, dancers, singing groups, food and other entertainment.

Faculty and staff also are encouraged to attend the President's Reception at 5 p.m. Oct. 19 in the West Food Court and Solarium of the student center. The traditional lighting of the "A" will follow at 7:15p.m., and a bonfire at Arthur's Ditch is planned at 8:30 p.m.

From 8:30 p.m. to midnight, the campus community can dance to oldies from the '50s and '60s at the Ramskeller's "Shake, Rattle and Roll."

Also on Oct. 19, Chris Sizemore, whose life was the basis for the movie "The Three Faces of Eve," will lecture on her experiences as a person with multiple personalities. Her ,

lecture is at 8 p.m. in the East and Middle Ballrooms of the student center. Admission is $4 per person.

Saturday events include an Exercise and

Sport Science Fun Run on the Oval at 8 a.m., the Birch Street Breakfast at the Alumni Cen-ter from 8-11 a.m., and the Homecoming

Pa-rade from Old Town to campus at 9 a.m. (The parade is funded in part by a Fort Fund Grant.) The Homecoming Football Game at

Hughes Stadium pits the Rams against the University of New Mexico, with kickoff at 12:05 p.m.

That evening, "Polynesian Paradise: The Family Feast" is planned in the Main

Ball-room, Lory Student Center, at 6 p.m. Tickets for the dinner of polynesian chicken, rice, tropical fruits, vegetables and desserts areS 10 for adults and $7 for children ages 5-10.

New age guitarist Robin Crow will per-form at 8:30p.m. that night in the Lory

Stu-dent Center Theatre. Tickets are $3 for stu-dents and $5 for non-stustu-dents.

Events on Sunday, Oct. 21, begin with the Ram Family Scramble Golf Tournament at City Park Nine, with check-in at 8 a.m. The Rambouillet Room will host a "Jam & Jazz" Sunday brunch for $8 per person from 9:30-1:30 p.m.

At 1 p.m. that day, the National Colle-giate Champion men's polo team from

Colo-rado State will compete in a free polo match at the Equine Center, Overland Trail at Eliza-beth Street.

The Friends of the Gustafson Gallery will present "One Hundred Years: A Fashion Retrospective" from 7-9:30 p.m. at Ammons Hall. Tickets are $15 for the evening, which includes champagne, dessert and a fashion

show of garments from 1890-1990. Ann Yates, wife of Colorado State President Al-bert Yates, is one of the Fort Collins citizens who will help model the clothing. For tickets to this event, call 491-1983. I
