6.1 Förslag till fortsatt forskning

Forskningen var smalt avgränsad till en enskild organisation för att få en djupgående förståelse för hur anställda just i denna organisation anser att tvåspråkighet inverkar på inklusion men detta leder till att resultatet inte kan generaliseras.

Eftersom att ökad antal organisationer väljer att introducera engelska som deras gemensamma organisationsspråk finns det möjligheter till att fortsätta forska inom ämnet. Det vore intressant att göra en forskning där olika organisationer jämförs med varandra för att se ifall organisationskulturen kan ha en inverkan på språkanvändningen. Även vore det intressant att göra en longitudinell forskning inom

en organisation för att följa upp ifall engelska som ett gemensamt organisationsspråk inverkar med en ökning av kulturell mångfald organisationen.

I resultatet kom det fram att en del av de finskspråkiga anställda kände sig obekväma med att använda engelska och istället använde sig av finska vilket ledde till att internationella anställda kände sig utanför. Det vore intressant att hur en individs engelskanivå inverkar hur öppen hen är för att använda engelska på arbetsplatsen istället för sitt förstaspråk. För denna orsak vore det intressant att forska i ifall branschen kan ha en inverkan på hur vana individer är med användningen av engelska.
